Heat pipe heat exchanger discussion to take the stage at U.S. fertilizer show
Heat pipe heat exchangers (HPHEs) represent a practical opportunity for capturing and repurposing thermal energy from industrial processes such as fertilizer production.
On Tuesday, April 9, 2025, Igor Makarenko of Solex Thermal Science will host a presentation at The Fertilizer Show in Orlando, FL that examines the principles of heat pipe technology, its applicability within the fertilizer industry and key considerations for implementation.

As part of the presentation titled The Power of Waste Heat: Driving Efficiency and Sustainability in Fertilizer Production, Igor will also be focusing on how Econotherm HPHEs, specifically, are able to recover thermal energy from often-overlooked energy sources air exhausts.
Other themes to be explored will include:
Why HPHEs offer fertilizer operators both an OPEX and CAPEX-friendly solution.
How HPHEs allow fertilizer producers to recover energy not only at the cooling stage, but elsewhere in the process
Where exhaust gas waste recovery opportunities can correspond with C02 reductions on many types of processing equipment, including dryers, ovens, boilers and other processes using high air temperature streams.
The Fertilizer Show is a three-day event dedicated to uniting worldwide fertilizer manufacturers with global suppliers of equipment, raw materials and plant design, alongside innovative technologies, solutions and services, industry leaders, academics and associations linked to the fertilizer industry.
