BRIDGEND, Wales, April 2016 – Econotherm has successfully commissioned a 1-MW air pre-heater at RAK’s UAE ceramic tile production facility.

Building on earlier successes of heat recovery from the highly particulate laden, roller kiln and smoke stack, Econotherm has proven once again its ability to “recover the irrecoverable”.

Utilising the unique moving plate cleaning system, the new unit is delivering clean hot air to the tile drying process, and is expected to deliver a 12 month pay back at current fuel prices. The unit is responsible for abating more than 1,800 tons per annum of CO2 emissions.
